Team Penske completed a clean sweep of the Dual in Detroit with wins on both days of the event.The back to back races, promoted by Team Penske owner, Detroit native Roger Penske, both saw a Penske driver on the top step of the podium with Will Power taking the win on Saturday before Indy 500 runner up Helio Canstoneves claimed victory on Sunday.
Power's win came as he held off a charging Graham Rahal int he closing laps of the race. After starting from 16th, Power fought his way to the lead thanks to a clever pit strategy and some well timed cautions.
A late change in strategy for Tony Kanaan saw him leap from eight on the grid to third whilst Justin Wilson also made vast gains to finish fourth after starting back in 19th. He came home ahead of pole sitter and early leader Helio Castroneves who had to settle for fifth despite having the fastest car of the day.
That speed would not keep him from winning on Sunday however. After starting third on the grid, he took the lead on lap 35 of the 70 lap race and never looked back. Will Power, who battled back from a drive-through penalty for avoidable contact earlier in the race, followed the Brazilian home to complete a perfect for 'The Captain', Roger Penske.
Charlie Kimball, who dropped way back early on to avoid a wreck made an impressive recovery to finish third, holding off Ganassi's Scott Dixon and James Hichcliffe of Andretti to complete the podium.
